Not my style, but I know it is somewhat popular. Doesn't the tire and wheel sticking out that far cause more paint chips down the side of the truck from debris being kicked up from an uncovered tire? Not trying to knock the look, but a similar situation is with 18 wheelers and mudflaps..

I've never had and rock chips from it. Worst thing is throwing water up on the side and getting it dirty.
