My front axel cover cracked, and my truck is my every day vehicle I've been driving it for a week or so and ill need to a little more until the shop gets the part from back order. But is it bad if I have to keep driving it?

 

I would at least wrap it up in a plastic bag or something and duct tape to keep dirt from getting in, top off the fluid just to be safe.

I don't think driving it is too bad, as long as you don't use 4wd, and take corners easy, and follow the above recommendations, at a minimum. Try JB Weld across the crack if you can. Should hold up until the new part gets in.
