Our 21" antenna is going to be a great option to solve garage door clearance issues. Our spring steel antenna line looks just like the factory antenna, just shorter. We do offer this in a 27" length but are on a 3 week back order at the moment, waiting for them to arrive from being painted. Our spring steel antennas are built with quality in mind. We use stainless steel threading made here in the states and they have a wire wrap on them like the factory to prevent wind noise. Our 6 3/4" antenna is also a popular option, this antenna is guaranteed in car washes. Considering you take your nice F-150 through touch car washes.

Just placed an order for your 6 3/4" version. I'll give it the car wash test Thanks!

I Just received my 6 3/4" antenna from theantennasource.com yesterday. so far I am really impressed with it. I have not noticed any decrease of signal and can still pick up all of the 18 of the presets that i had programmed in.

Please do!! We have them on a fleet of F-150's that test car wash chemicals, they see 15+ car washes daily. That along with thousands of new 6 3/4" on vehicles, we have yet to have one fail.

I did this exact same thing. I tried 2 different antennas that were shorter, both had horrible reception and both made a whistle sound on the highway. I ended up cutting the stock antenna and JB welding the ball back on the tip. It was free, looks stock, and no noticeable change in reception.

If you did, you are lucky.

I purchased a 6Ē antenna from Auto Zone. Lost a little reception but nothing I canít live with. Looks good and the $15 price tag wasnít bad either.
