In shop for 5 weeks
I have a 2016 Ford F150 that started losing coolant. Took it to a dealer to have it repaired. Said it was a hose with a "small leak" and that was why we couldn't see any water leaking anywhere. I had to pay for that repair. (not cheap either) Still having the problem, took it in and there was water in the head. Said it wasn't holding torque. They replaced the gaskets, and I believe the head. Then said a turbo was out. When they replaced that, the other turbo wouldn't boost. Still in the shop and they say they can't find the problem. FIVE weeks and they still can't find the problem. This is under my extended warranty. Any ideas
That dealership should be on the phone with Ford engineering to figure this one out. I would also ask for a refund on the hose replacement as that clearly was part of their parts darts game. Hopefully this will get sorted out.
If I had to bet, there might be a crack in the head/block or even a casting flaw that is causing the water to leak.
I assume the leak is not external as those should be easier to find.

Two ideas.
1) Your truck is being fixed, and the dealer will work with Ford to get it fixed.
2) Review the Lemon Law in your state to see what options you have.
The only reason for a 2016 to have extended warranty kick in would be your are over 36,000 miles. With extended warranty often comes a free rental, so you do have a vehicle to drive.
