Default shocking

2012 lariat eco-boost truck 40k miles on it, what shocks did you guys used to replace stock ones with? I would like a more solid ride, mine right now is mushy in back, then I also noticed no rear sway bar which would help the feel. what have you guys done to yours?

If I were in your position, I'd go with Bilstein. I hear they are great and also stiffen up the ride just a little

I used Rancho 9000XL adjustable rears and like them. I can adjust for towing long trips then around home. Got rid of up/down motion on 2 lanes. Don't mind getting under to adjust as I'm only 75.

I also added Helliwig anti-sway bar and I really like that.

My truck has a Hellwig and the difference is very noticeable. It handled much better than any of the 7 trucks I test drove. It has very little body roll.

Another option is the RAS (Road Active Suspension) to stiffen the rear and eliminate body roll. Night and day diffference on my rig.

My vote is for the Monroe Sensa Trac load adjusting shocks. My truck rides really nice and does not squat anymore when towing.

Definitely, Bilstein is a good brand and a popular choice due to longevity and good ride quality it offers.

I went with the Bilstein 5100's front and rear. I went up 1-1/2 inches in the front and in the rear the Bilsteins don't sag as much as the stock shocks did. They ride a little firmer then the stock shocks but in a good way...more control and less side roll.

I still have some rake for towing and can clear 34's or 35's if I want to. 33's on my truck look small in diameter but still let me get up to 19.5 mpg if I drive 60-65 mph.
