Does anyone know for sure how many belts on the f150 w/5.0L engine. Some angles it looks like one and some like two. Part stores show 2 different ones. Thanks

Owner manual doesn't say how many, only when to replace.

 

Two belts. One drives the Alternator and Water Pump, the other drives the Compressor. A/C belt sits behind the Alt & W/P belt.

 

No clue what year yours is, but my 2014 has 2. Rock auto was way cheaper than the local parts store. Went with motorcraft.

 

2 as stated. If it's an early build 2011 or older you might only have 1 tensioner for 1 belt and the other might be a stretch belt.

 

Yep that's what I got (2011, 86000mi) and that's why it was confusing, only saw the 1 tensioner but looked like 2 belts, thanks all

Back like older yrs when there were 3/4 belts

 

There are some videos on the stretch belt install. Obviously more work than if you had a 2nd tensioner. I got lucky and have a late build 2011.

 

Mine was made 6/11 so guess it would be a late build as well, right.

 

i want to say 10/11 build or about there. You'll know when you look if you have 1 or 2 tensioners.
