There are all kind of places you can get pre-fitted covers what kind do you want. here are a few suppliers I have in my bookmarks.

For foam go here:

Remember the best tool for trimming foam is an eletric carving knife.

My favorite seat covers of the ones made out of sheep skins and are dyed to match your interior. They are far from the cheapest but they are by far the most comfortable. But for the price the ones with the camo patterns are the coolest looking, most are waterrproof so if your sopping wet dog jumps in you can at least wipe things off when you get home.

After seeing what you have to deal with what I would do is get a used seat from a salvage yard. I wouldn't be picky about the color and type of upholstery then get seat covers to match them up. What faces you with your present seat is beyond anyone without the experience and equipment. I suspect anything you would be able to do would be really bad

I was looking at E-bay and there are numerous choices to pick from. They run price wise from about $150 to $200 dollars each and what I am looking at are much, much nicer then what you have even if they where in good shape. In fact what I am looking at interests me. I have the rather narrow leather bucket seats in my Choo-Choo Custom, what I see would be much better comfort wise, An example of what is there is below this seat is $165 dollars each.
