Screw with 6.5 box bs 5.5
I’m looking a a 2918 KR it’s a beautiful truck except it has the long box and I am used to the short box
i don’t really haul anything that I need the extra length and it seems just... too long
what are your thoughts ? Resale suffer ?

thats the biggest truck, which rides the best. I think you’ll love it. Give it a test drive and see what you think. Be sure and check the payload sticker with that config. The way I see it, no one ever says “man I wish I got the SB truck when they have to haul something.

I wish I had the longer box.

I have a supercrew with the 6.5 bed and love it. Don’t drive in a city much but understand the parking concerns. The turning radius is ridiculous.

I have had one for 7 months. Personally, I think it's the best looking configuration and I specifically sought it out. I have literally only had one parking issue and it was a week ago in downtown kansas city I was taking my kid to a show and tried to use a parking garage and it was too tight to make the turns to the upper level. Just had to back out and park somewhere else.
otherwise, I just back into any parking spot everywhere else. But I pretty much back into parking spots no matter what I'm driving. Just habit.

It depends on the use. I do some off road driving and the Supercrew short bed is already longer than I like.
I've owned several extended cabs with 6.5' beds and have yet to come across anything that I could fit in a 6.5' bed that I couldn't fit in the 5.5' bed of my current truck. If I need more than 5.5' I need an 8' bed, or better yet my 6'X10' trailer.

I purposely seek out the 6.5 ft box, I wouldn't want it any less with my Supercrew. I fish a lot, and most of my rods are 7 ft, they fit perfectly in there diagonally in the 6.5 ft box.
I also duck hunt a lot, and the 6.5 fits my decoy sleds perfectly as well.
The 5.5 ft box is for city people, or those who don't really ever use the truck bed.
As for resale, a lot of dealers have a waiting list of people looking for a used supercrew with 6.5 ft box. When I was looking for my most recent truck, I couldn't get to lots quick enough before they were sold. The one I've got, had to a pay a little more than I wanted to, but to me it was well worth it.
