That sucks, I'd be pissed! At least the safe worked! Factory alarms are mediocre at best, I'd get an aftermarket alarm starter combo that works from your smartphone and throw the crappy 10ft range stock key fob away.

Because, depending on where you live there are certain places that you cannot carry legally even if you have a conceal permit. My area you cannot carry into schools and government buildings so you would have to leave it in the truck if you run in to get your kid.

If I have to stop by any government building, school, public park, or a few other select places in the state of Iowa, I must not carry a loaded weapon on my person, even with a carry permit.

You know, as funny as I always thought the "trunk monkey" commercials were....a 200lbs chimp with a tire tool would stop a lot of this stuff
