Default Roush Exhaust

I am considering the Roush dual side exhaust (legal) for my 2004 5.4 V8 Supercrew 5.5 4x2 and am wondering if anyone has already converted to this exhaust and has any recommendations. I have already installed the cold air intake by Roush and very pleased. The E3 spark plugs are next. Any thoughts?

Where did you find E3 plugs for the 5.4?

Default E3

saw them on eBay and did search with autoparts stores. Oreilly had them also. They run about 5.99 each.

I'm told those ones will kill the rim on that side of the truck. Anyone agree?

I run my exhaust right in front on the passenger tire and haven't noticed anything yet. Mine are steel though, Aluminium might not like the extra heat and junk.

I'm having mine done right now like this, should be done in an hour or so...when I told the guy that's doing it how I wanted it to exit he gave me some info and said that ford did it like that one year and it turned the aluminum rims on the truck yellow and they issued tons of recalls on it, he said its guna ruin any aluminum or chrome rim, however it won't harm steel rims.

That was the 1997 model year. In the northern states it caused lots of damage to the wheel due to the fumes and the salt on the road. So they extended the ehaust out the back and replaced the rear wheel. My boss would send each wheel to the body shop and have them strip, polish, and reclear the wheel. Every time he got 4 wheels done he would use them as a selling tool and throw them in on a truck deal that came with steel wheels.
