Default Reverse parking system

Hello all,

I am new to the board, but I have a question that is quite frustrating. I recently traded in my 2013 XLT for a 2016 XLT, I tried to tell the dealer that I wanted the same spec and that my old one came with 302a. My new one is 301a, but I was assured the options were the same. I disagreed, and when the truck came it was absent the reverse parking system.

The dealer advised they would install the sensors etc and make it right.

I have since received the truck and although it has sensors and a reverse system of some type, it is not linked into the control system of the truck, it does not interact with the camera and the sensors do not seem to be the ones that come from the factory.

I am taking this up with the dealer, but I am wondering if it actually is possible for the factory to install a stock bumper with the sensors and with some re-mapping, let the rest of the system acknowledge it and work together or if I a stumped by virtue of the original option list assigned to the VIN.

Longwinded I know, but a huge source of frustration on a truck that is a day old.

Any info would be great.
Thanks.

Jimmy
