My mom bought a 2008 Wrangler that had that feature, well we all know that Chryslers are pieces of crap so when, inevitably it wouldn't start it kept cranking and cranking until the starter overheated and then it finally cut off.
Shes also had to replace the Airbag module and clock spring, have the computer reprogramed to fix a shifting issue, replace the tranny lines twice, replace the heater controls, and it only has 34,000 miles!
Sorry to jack this thread, I just felt like venting.

I'm just wondering, what is so amazing about this feature?
I have never had to crank my '02 F150 or '06 F150. Simple turn of the key and they start right up, even in some negative degree weather here in CO.
Maybe I'm missing the point of this feature.

2006 doesn't have it. My 06 starts fast enough that I'd have to try to release the key extra-fast to make that feature kick in anyway. Maybe when it's below zero and I haven't driven it in a while it takes an extra revolution, but that's about it.

yea is it just me or is this feature really not that great? I highly doubt that Ford would keep any attractive features built into their trucks a "secret" from the consumers.
