returning a lease question
My lease is up in a few months and I wanted to get as much info as possible before I turn it in.
I went mudding once and the engine bay and underside of the hood are caked. Should I just leave it?
Inside the doors on the bottom are also caked with mud, I'm thinking of leaving it.
Lastly, I replaced the rear shocks with better ones, I still have the old ones, I was thinking about just giving the OEM shocks to the dealer with the truck and tell them they can put them on if they want.
Thoughts?
I'm most likely going to lease again from the same dealer so I think I get a little leeway on some of the stuff above.

If it's not obvious from a visual inspection that the shocks are aftermarket I probably wouldn't mention it to them. You don't want them to come back and say, "thanks for telling us, now pay us the labor to swap them back to OEM." Even if it is obvious I'd leave them alone and if they say something then go from there.
So, you turn in the lease covered with mud and you expect to get a decent deal on the next truck at the same dealership? What motivation do they have to do anything nice for you?
Spend a couple hundred bucks and get a basic detail, treat them right and they'll probably do the same.
