Question Replacing Shocks

My shocks are shot and I'm tired of having my *** busted driving on the sub-optimal roads where I live. I've been trying to do some research on new shocks and (maybe I'm just over-thinking this...) I am having trouble finding consistent information on after-market shocks. My truck is a 1992 F150 4X4 and its a daily driver with some occasional light off-road use with no real towing/hauling. I want a quality, but durable ride. Can anyone offer any suggestions on make/model of aftermarket shocks?

Thanks!

I would not spend a whole lot of money as your new shocks will get a WAY BETTER ride than your worn out shocks and if you buy the middle of the road quality, they will last for over 100k miles as your daily driver.

Check out the auto parts stores and look for a sale.
