Default Replacement pcm not talking to cluster

00 f150 5.4 I tried to get my 2 original keys coded to replacement pcm and I have dash’s on odometer. New pcm relay and fuel pump relay all fuses checked and good. Engine cranks but no start. Antitheft light was flashing at first initial start attempt after replacement PCM was installed. English was the locksmiths first language and he happened to have his whole family with him and his daughter was interpreting and she said he said the coding and reprogram went to the last step in process and then went no further indicating no communication to cluster by pcm. My question is what’s involved with the programming if I put in a replacement cluster. I’m spiraling with this issue.

Default

PATS itself has to be reflashed to match up the cluster and computer. It goes beyond just keys if I’m reading you right on what’s been done so far.

@ProjectSHO89 may be able to walk you through this.

Default Yes agreed

Yes there’s supposed to be a 10 min waiting period for the PATS as part of the key coding. When I informed the locksmith of this I believe he understood that. I didn’t know ahead of time that my locksmith and myself were going to be communicating thru his daughter serving as interpreter. When he said it didn’t work what I got from her was that he was familiar with how to do it and got to the last part of the procedure which could have been the PATS phase and/or the parameter reset on pcm and then whatever he was doing stopped.
