Exclamation Repeated Brake System Failure

I've searched the forum numerous ways and can't find any posts directly related to this, but is anyone else having issues with the brake system failing even after Ford supposedly "fixed" it during the recall for this issue? My 2014 King Ranch was covered by the 20V332000 and 16V345000 recalls for master cylinder failure that allowed brake fluid to get pumped into the vacuum booster. Ford "fixed" it in 2017 at the dealership, but a couple of months ago those same parts catastrophically failed again the exact same way as described in the text of the recall notice. I was not the owner at the time it was taken in for the recall. A Ford Consumer Affairs supervisor was adamant Ford will not fix the problem again because it had been more than 12 months since it was "fixed" during the recall. She confirmed those brake system parts had never been redesigned to mitigate the possibility of them failing again. They knowingly put the same defectively-engineered parts back in the truck and said it was "fixed". She then said I need to pay for the repairs myself and could get the truck fixed anywhere, but keep the receipt in case the truck is recalled again. She also admitted if I ran over a bunch of kids playing in the street because those parts failed AGAIN, Ford would take no responsibility whatsoever for the carnage.

I sent a written complaint to the Consumer Affairs department, as suggested by said supervisor, but never even got a reply of any sort. I then tracked down the e-mail addresses for Ford's executive team and reached out to them for help. Their executive assistant called me and asked me to send them the repair receipt to follow up on a reimbursement. She called me back the next day and said their team refused to reimburse my expenses because I didn't get the repair done at a Ford dealership. When confronted with the fact I was specifically informed that was not a requirement, she said that was irrelevant. She, too, acknowledged Ford knowingly put defective parts back in the truck and told the federal government they had somewhat falsely satisfied the recall, but still insisted Ford has no liability for resultant failures. After about 20 minutes of pointing out how morally indefensible I thought Ford's position was, and her agreeing to the tenets of my stance, she still basically told me, on behalf of the executive team, to go "F" myself.

A few days later I told that same executive team I have reported Ford to NHTSA, the U.S. Attorney General's office, the U.S. Dept. of Transportation, my elected representatives in Congress, numerous consumer advocate agencies and investigative media outlets. I've received nothing back but silence.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with this issue? If so, did you ever make any headway with them? What mechanism(s) did you employ to prevail? I have commented extensively on this on social media (personally tagging CEO Jim Farley each time) and I know Ford has seen it. I even told them my mission was to do so in hopes of persuading as many people as I could not to purchase a Ford in hopes of costing them far more than the $878 they refuse to part with, but still nothing but silence.

Hoping someone has some good advice. It's a matter of principal more so than the money. THANKS!

Try to get around the person that you've been talking to. And, of course, with social media you're just one of hundreds of thousands of voices. Probably wasting your time there.

I used the NHTSA site to find what seems to be your situation. There is much new communication about it. Try the numbers listed there. Here's the main site, you'll have to click through to find the recalls for your vehicle, and a sample I pulled out.

From the above notice -

"Have you previously paid for this repair? If you have previously paid for a repair that addresses the issue described in this letter, you still need to have this recall performed to ensure the correct parts and procedures were used. You may be eligible for a refund of previously paid repairs. Refunds will only be provided for service related to brake master cylinder or brake master cylinder and brake booster replacement. To verify eligibility and expedite reimbursement, give your paid original receipt to your dealer. Refund requests may also be sent directly to Ford Motor Company. To request your refund from Ford, send the refund request with all required documentation, including your original repair receipt (no photocopies), to Ford Motor Company at P.O. Box 6251, Dearborn, Michigan 48121-6251. Refund requests mailed to this address may take up to 60 days to process. Your original receipt will be returned to you. Detailed information regarding eligibility for Ford's reimbursement program and documentation requirements may be obtained by contacting the Ford Customer Relationship Center at 1-866-436-7332."

And more. Seems like they know the dealerships are stalling -

Thanks, BareBonesXL, for the rapid and comprehensive info! I'll definitely follow up on it.
