Default Removing running boards?

Getting six inch lift. Should I remove my running boards?? Opinion ?

I'd keep them on then after the lift other things like tires see if you need them by getting into the truck without using the running boards. Just in case you need them.

Step-bars / running boards ...
Pros:
  • looks.
  • functional - entry | egress ease.
  • aids in the protection of door dings from other vehicles.
Cons:
  • looks.
  • slippery when wet.

Definitely amp research power boards, oem boards are too high and tight to be useful, especially after a lift.

i took mine off before i lifted mine 6". that lasted about a week after the lift. i got real sick of jumping up every damn time. I'm only 22 so bad back, knees, etc isn't an issue, but would quickly become one.

Your stock boards will be worthless after the lift. Best bet is the Amp retractable boards. Nice clean look when they are up and you can actually use them when they deploy. Best mod you can do.

I removed the stock ones and added these low cost and added a nice off road look in my opinion
