Removing Bedrug velcro strips from bed?

For most gummy residue I would use rubbing alcohol. If that doesn't work the next strongest item I would use is nail polish remover that contains acetone. It has to be the type that says acetone in the ingredients. First and most importantly test in a hidden spot first.

I did that exact thing when I traded in my last truck and didn't need any help or products. Just make sure it is nice and warm and pull it off at the exact opposite direction it goes on. In other words, pull 180 degrees back of where it is. So if you are starting at the front of the bed, pull it back towards the tailgate, but keep it close to the floor of the bed at the same time. That is the best way to get all the adhesive to come off with the strips.
Then you can call BedRug and they will send you a new kit of the velcro that you need. They sent it to me for free when I contacted them about switching it to a new truck.

Just to update, they all came right off without any issues of paint coming with it. Cleaned up with paint prep solvent. Now waiting on the replacement kit so I can install it in my new truck.

Maybe slightly off-topic, but I have a question. I plan on getting my new truck bed Line-X'ed. I currently have a BedRug that I want to transfer into the new truck as well. Will the Velcro adhere to the Line-X sufficiently to hold it in place? Thanks!

Bedrug has an adhesion kit that you use to attach the velcro to the liner. https://bedrug.com/adhesion-promoter...017/ford/f-150
