Default Removing Bed liner?

Does anyone have any tricks for removing herculiner, or a like bed liner? The previous owner PAINTED the entire truck in herculiner, and its time to come off. The bed has been replaced so its just the cab left. Ive spent about 3hrs out there with power drill, with a wire brush and hands.

The next step is a knotted wire wheel on an angle grinder.

But does anyone know if a paint thinner or a like substance work on this stuff?

For reference.

Truck is no longer a flareside

I think that once you get that gunk off, the truck is gonna look worse than leaving it alone.
There's gonna be bits of that stuff everywhere.
Find some kid who thinks it looks cool and make it his problem.
Make him pay extra for that premium paint job.

you can get it off down to bare metal, i have the majority of the rear of the cab done, and it doesn't look bad. But that has taken hours of my time, trying to see if there is a quicker shorter way, short of buying a commercial grade sander

Good luck. Do you plan on repainting it? I would recommend talking to a local liner shop and see what they say. If you hear anything worth sharing let us know!

I'm afraid I have no other advice.
But I have much admiration for your enthusiasm.
Mine left after I turned 40 with 2 kids under 6.

Yeah, obviously not with bedliner though. I think the closest place to me that does bed liners is about 40 minutes but I may have to give a call. I know this stuff isnt meant to come off, so they may not have an answer, but i will surely tell if i find out.
