Default remote starter problems

I have a 2010 f 150 with a factory remote starter. every time i try to start it with the remote it honks back at me twice indicating that the hood is open or the brake is being pressed. but neither of these things are happening. it happened before and opening and closing the hood fixed the problem but it won't help this time. i live 4 hours from the dealership and won't be around there for at least a month. any suggestions on how to fix it?

thanks

this somewhat happened to me when id try to start my car with the remote start and it would beep and not do anything. Took it to best buy where they had installed it in my car and it was my hood sensor not sitting properly flush which made my hood not close all the way which told the remote starter not to start the car
