So now instead of hacking your phone or computer, someone can hack your truck?

No thanks.

Just have a spot of camomile tea and stop going postal.
If someone was going to break into your truck, I doubt that this was the one technological advancement that they were looking for to do so.

Ha ha. People can only hack you if you're stupid with your information/open emails that you have no idea where they came from/click on links that are clearly not legit. And how exactly would they hack your truck? It would be no different than someone stealing your command start thingy. And what exactly could they do to hack your truck? Start/unlock it? Oh noes... lol. Little technologically terrified are you?

EDIT: Had an afterthought, I guess they could steal your IP address too/hack someone in multiple different ways.. But whatever. lol.

Technologically terrified?

No.

I work on technology for a living, and see unintended consequences all the time.

Last thing I need is to be able to "butt start" my truck.

Well it seems like quite a cool and unique selling feature to me. Unfortunately it's the truth, but with every advance in technology, criminals will learn and adapt to pervert that into personal gain for themselves.

I guess it is then up to the consumer to decide what technological advancement they allow into their life at the potential risk of it being used malevolently.

For all the people worried about hacking.....this works the same as a regular auto start.... no Key....no drive.

Sorry, but I'll leave the wireless signals far, far away from any component of my vehicle, thank you.

No key no drive has nothing to do with it.
