Default Remote Start "Quiet Mode"

When I use my remote start on my '16 Platinum, the heat/fan seems to be at half speed until I hit the Start button, then it kicks in full throttle. Before I get yelled at for not looking at the owner manual, a quiet start option is mentioned once in the manual, and refers you to see "General Information", but there's nothing in that section.

There is no quiet start option on the dashboard menu like I have seen screenshots of in the older models, and nothing I could find in FORScan, so I'm lost as to how to get rid of this default quiet start setting. Can someone help?

I saw this on a thread not too long ago.

Quiet Start keeps your engine RPM's lower then when you start normally.

To me that means that it won't warm up as fast.

I understand that, but there's nowhere on the display where it says Quiet Mode, and nowhere where I can turn that option off. It just appears to be a default setting which can't be adjusted, which doesn't make sense. I mean.... why mention it in the owner's manual if I can't do anything about it?

Gotcha - for me 2013 Lariet - it's in my steering wheel menu with the other auto start options.

I don't believe "Quiet Start" has anything to do with your fan settings. If you have your remote start settings set to "Auto", your truck will heat or cool your cab to 70 degrees. I think it only uses one fan setting to accomplish this.

Go in your in-dash screen options - there are 2 possible settings for remote start related to climate control... ''auto'' or ''last known setting''. However, customization (beyond these 2 options) is not possible.

I have set my truck to both Auto and Last Setting Under Advanced Settings ->Climate Control. Both do the same thing with the fan. I understand your logic of "maybe it only uses one fan", however whenever it's very cold out and the remote start has been running for several minutes, I will come out to the truck and as soon as I hit start the fan kicks on full throttle. If the single fan was all that was needed, it wouldn't need to go full throttle to get to the set temperature.

So my truck is always tempered but not warm when I get in, unlike every other remote start system I've had in the past.

Yes I've tried both. It's bananas that this auto-start can't go full throttle with heating like every other car/truck I've had in the past.

Just to be clear, you go into Remote Start on your menus, then there should be multiple options to pick from - Climate Control, Seats and Wheel (or just Seats), Duration, and System. I would think the setting for yours should be under System, so look there. If not, I would explore every option under Remote Start to see if it's there.

And Quiet Start does REDUCE FAN SETTINGS.

I know... It's -30F here right now and my seats don't go at full heat when I remote start it. After 5 minutes of idling, it's warm inside, but the seats are not warm. The heated seats are on, but not as high as they should be IMO. It's -30F outside...
