Default Remote Start Ceases to Function on Both Keyfobs

So I've got a '15 F150. Today, I tried to remote start the truck for the first time since early/mid spring, and neither of the key fobs would start the truck. I tried from inside, the front porch, and 4 feet away from the truck in the driveway and nothing. All other functionality on the fobs works fine.

I did have an issue around the end of May with my reverse/360 camera system and the dealer had to replace one of the computers in the truck. Is it possible the computer they replaced also controlled the remote start and my key fobs need to be re-synced with the truck? Any other ideas?

I'm hoping not to lose the truck for another week at the dealership.

Any CEL? That would prevent it from working.

Many be a silly question, but are you locking it on the fob right before remote starting. Not sure if it's 2 or 3 clicks on the 13th gens, but lock on remote then remote start and it should work.

If that isn't it, make sure remote start is enabled in the dash (I think that's a thing with your generation)

If that doesn't work, disconnect battery for 15-20 mins and try again. When battery is disconnected, flash the headlights / hold the horn to something to drain capacitors.

Let us know if that fixes anything.

Is it on low fuel? It won't remote start if the fuel level is low.

Had this happen to me on a Jeep Grand Cherokee last year. Ended up being a hood latch sensor going bad. Jeep thought the hood was open and would not start with either fob.

In our trucks, if it was the hood latch sensor the truck would honk twice when locked from the key fob. I'm assuming that isn't the case since OP didn't mention double honking

You would also get the "Hood Ajar" warning in the message center.

Thanks for the responses and sorry it took me so long to get back here.

So no CEL. Definitely pressing lock then double press and holding the remote start button (as I always have). Two locks will honk the horn as usual. Truck is almost full on fuel and just confirmed it still isn't working.

After trying remote start the LED on the key flashes red 3 times.

I'm thinking I'll just have to take it back to the dealer before winter comes.

Open the hood and double check the hood switch, it's a known issue. Disconnect the electrical connector and check it for water intrusion, corrosion pushed out pins, repair as needed. Close the hood after reconnecting it and make sure all doors are completely closed and give it a try.

If that fails, disconnect the battery negative cable for no less than 15 mins and try again.
