Hey guys I bought a 2010 Ford fx4 with a remote start on it.The problem is that when you hit the remote the doors lock as a security thing.
When you open the door it shuts down and ford says that's the way it works!! My question is has anyone found a way to work around this as it's a pain.

I've got a 2010 raptor with the Ford dealer installed remote. You should be able to unlock the doors and the engine will keep running for a minimum of 10 mins or until you step on the brake pedal if you have not placed the key in the ignition and turn it to on. Mine never shuts off if I unlock and open my door. I'd have them check the installation.

 

Thanks KTM I've taken it to a dealer and they told me that it was a new thing that Ford put out to prevent people from stealing it.
