Default Remote Entry Problem

Is anyone having remote entry problems with their 2012 F150? Mine is really intermittent and sometimes takes about eight really hard pushes to unlock the doors. Both keys are the same. It locks fine. The car finder feature does not function either.

Is there a fix for this problem? If yes, what is the fix.

Thanks

New battery? More than that, I'd take it to the dealer. Should still be under warranty.

Yes same issue on my 12 XLT, I really have to push hard on it to open the lock or unlock.

Some depends on where you live and what other transmission signals are being used. It can't interfere with more important signals. Like near an air force base or such.

BobbyC,

Thanks for your reply.

I think I will try that. Its cheaper than the hour drive to my dealer.

Take Care

jaconn02,

Thanks fo your reply.

Maybe its part of our XLT option package.

Mine locks fine. It only has trouble unlocking.

Does your car finder feature work?

Lost In Sync,

Thanks for your reply.

That shouldn't be the issue. I live in a rural area and the nearest airport (small) is almost an hour away.

Jus Cruisin,

Thanks for your reply.

Are you serious? Does pushing the button really hard actually increase the signal strength?

Green Gem

I think he was being sarcastic. The button isn't pressure sensitive.
