No.. if you won and rubbed it in her face.. THAT would make you look stupid.

It's a lose/lose situation for you my friend.

Most of how those trucks perform will be up to the driver. A good driver could get either one of those trucks through 10" of mud, but a novice driver could get either one stuck in 3" of snow

Might want to watch this before you do a tugging contest... but don't show it to the girlfriend.

So exactly what did that prove?

The 1st video, the Chevy driver kept on the brake (look at the tail lamps)and the Ford driver romped on the gas. Once the Ford lost traction the Chevy simply eased into the gas. Of course this event was sponsored by Chevy, so do you think they'd let the Frod win?

The 2nd video was conducted by a Yota dealer and even put the F150 & Ram against the Tundra. Problem is in each event, the domestic truck always romped on the gas, spun tires/lost traction and the Tundra simply eased into the gas and took them for a ride. Problem is, you can't ever see the Tundra in any of the events until it's already pulling the domestic. So does the Tundra have his brake on? What exactly is the Tundra doing while you can't see it?

Not saying the Chevy or Tundra wouldn't have won, but there were clear bias in the making of both videos and you can tell something fishy was occuring for the winner in both vids.

Nowto the topic at hand, I'd avoid it. Like everyone else stated, it's a lose/lose situation. You win or break her truck, she'll complain about something. You lose then she'll brag to all her friends/family and even yours and all the Ford fans about how her truck won. I think the biggest issue though is the fact you're dating a Chevy girl.

Absolutely nothing... just like if this guy actually competed with his girlfriend it would prove absolutely nothing. At best that video proved that one truck had more traction - or a better driver.

We're just having fun with this idea. I just found a video of a two trucks doing exactly what the OP suggested. Relax

Oh I hear ya and enjoy watching a good fair tug-o-war when I see one. Just hate when people refer to videos like these that are completely one sided and have bias tendancies and purpose built in.

I've done a few tug-o-wars in my '06, against a '04/'05 Ram 1500 QuadCab 5.7L 4x4 and an '07 Tundra CrewMax 5.7L 4x4. I won some and lost some. Each time we determined the winner as having better traction and throttle play, not one other reason we could find as to why either won.
