recalls and TSBs
Any NTSB recall they are required to fix and recalls always have to do with safety issues. TSB's are Technical service bulletins. Basically they are a library of diagnostics and repairs for specific conditions. It could be anything from a wind whistle, guide lines disappearing from display on rear view camera to what ever. TSB's could be any condition that has been encountered by technicians (I am not sure of how many instances are required to trigger a TSB) TSB's will only be performed on vehicles that exhibit a specific condition that the TSB addresses. In other words there is a for example a TSB for '11 F150's with 5.0 motors for timing chain and gears. Not every F150 comes into the shop is going to get that repair. Only the ones that need it. It is not a secret warranty or anything of the like. Things like build date, build location etc can play a factor in which vehicles a TSB may be applied to.
