Default recalculating/ resetting the km to empty?

I love having the mileage readout as a feature but it seems to be lacking some options. I am currently working in the oil patch, it's been raining all week and due to the mud and using 4x4, my L/100km is way up. Was at 30 when I fueled up, and now the computer thinks I only have 542 km till empty with a full tank. Whereas when I fueled up on the highway with a 12 to 14 L/100km average, it said I had 999 km till empty!

Long story short, is there any option to recalibrate that at a lower average? I know how to reset the average mileage readout but that's not reflected by the km till empty.

You didn't mention what model year, but the km/m to empty is all calculated by the computer based on the last few tanks and can't be reset.

Hmm...I suggest reaching out to your local dealer for some assistance with this, Sherwood. They'll be best able to diagnose your truck and handle the calibration. Also, please fill me in with the year and current odometer reading so I can check my resources.
