i was wondering what the difference would be if i changed out my 8.8 rear end for one with 9.75 ring gear with the same gear ratio what problems would i run into if any? the reason for my intrest is that my rearend is an 8.8 and is missing teeth and the rearend is snaping and poping the price of the whole rearend assembly is the same for the 9.75 and the 8.8 any help would be much appriciated

 

should bolt in fine, may have to modify the driveshaft though

 

Yeah there's not much differance between an 8.8 rearend and a 9.75 rearend.
