Default Reapir Help!

My son has a 2007 F-150. He has been complaining lately that when he gets on the gas the truck has no power and shakes. I took it to our local mechanic is is pretty good. He said it was the cataltic converter and suggested a muffler shop. I took it to the muffler shopthey said it was fine and it might be the transmission. I took it to the transmission shop and they said that the transmission was fine and something was bogging the engine, maybe the muffler. I took it to another mecahnic, again he said it was probably the muffler. I took it to two other muffler shops, they too said nothing was wrong with the muffler.

I had the fuel filter changed hoping....someone suggested naybe the throttle housing?

Any ideas?

Did they tell you what the codes were? If not, go to Autozone and they'll pull codes for free.

My truck has had similar symptoms ever since I bought it. I changed the fuel filter, cleaned the maf sensor, I run injector cleaner through it often and I cleaned the throtle body yesterday. I've done all these things this sumer and I can realy tell a big improvement. I also got dual flowmasters yesterday and that took away some of the boging to if your sons into a loud exaust.
