Really Really bad buying experiences...help needed.
UPDATE:
For some of you may interested. The dealer is Capital GMC Buick Cadillac in Regina, SK, Canada,
Thanks for all your replay. Your advice are really helpful and I really appreciated.
However, the real time is sometimes far beyond our thoughts....
So I talked about that I wrote and email to the sales man, ask about whether should I have a second key.
Then I just get a call, no key issue being talking. They just ask me return the truck and they will give me a full refund.
Eh....what's going on here? You don't want this business? Fine.
So I just went to their shop, after 6pm, at exactly 6:43, as I wrote on email.
Then sales tells me the business manager who can do the refund is busy now. Ask me to wait.
I have to point out that, from I wrote an email to them to this time. No one ever ask me why I want another key, the reason they can do it or they can't do it. I'm so confused, is this issues that serious? It may cost some money, but still, it just a key!
So I wait.
So I wait.
I wait.
I wait.
I wait.
I wait exactly for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. In the middle of it, the sales comes and ask me to come back tomorrow morning!
I say no. This finish today.
Then the sales boss came. Start the most rudeness conversation I ever have with a dealer.
"We give you good deal!" "We let you use credit card!" "We are lossing money!" "We helped you so much and you should not ask more!" "Now you want another key? No way!" "You either wait here, or you come back tomorrow morning!" "We don't care who you complain to! Go what ever you want!"
I have the Voice Record for this conversation. I think I should post it here later today.
I'm a guy not that good in speaking with others. I just feel....it seems all my fault? Am I too greedy?
The price is good. But that is the price we talked face to face and both agreed. No one push or force you to make that deal.
The credit card maybe not a common payment methods, but I also double checked with your staff.
You are lossing money? Wow...I'm really sorry...but what the heck is that matter with me?
I decide to wait. For another 30 minutes. I finally meet a lady who handle the reverse.
This lady, at least, you could talk to. And seems she didn't quite understand what happend between me and dealer.
She explains to me that they are lossing money on that truck (True or Not?) Because I paid a large amount with credit card and they have to pay fees for that transition with a fixed rate. Which at last, with the final price, with the fees, they didn't earn money from it.
I don't know weather she is telling the truth or not but I think it make some sense to me. I have never see a such rude dealer, and so rushed to want the car back. My best guess is they are lossing money on it, so they hope to get the car back, so when even I just ask for a key, they start to reaction very strong.
Long story short. I didn't return the truck yesterday. I decide to keep the truck with me and never go to this dealer anymore. Luckily Ford is really popular and I could find better services even in my small town. I will warning everywhere I could for this bad (though, when you have the idea they are lossing money, the rude reaction is understandable.) dealership in my local media.
End of the story. Hope so.
This is the first time I have encounter such interesting, dramtically situation. First wrong promise on credit card payment, then rude reaction for a key issue. At last it seems it is all money behind it. When lossing money, customer care is nothing, that is real world!
Again, thanks for reading this boring stuff. I know my writing skill is not good.
Please comments out what you think about it, and thanks again for all you kindly reply!
I just here to speak out so I will feel better...
Me and my wife want a truck, so we start searching local dealer. Finally we found one which mark themselves as number one canada something. And they are really care about their reputations (Haha...)...And, I have to admit that most important, they have a good deal at this time.
A 2012 Ford F150, White, XLT with XTR package, included taxes, $31000.
While....I won't mention that it doesn't have block heater, rear deforester, rear cam, etc.
I like the truck, really like it.
So I decide I will put my money on it. I double checked with them if I could use my credit card to pay all amount, they said no problem.
So I spend an hour calling the credit card company, transfer and raise my limits to that amount, and then I happily drive to their shop.
As you expect, they say no, we can only takes $4000.
I said you told me there is no problem.
They said no we can only takes $4000. Go to bank now (heavy rain outside at that time), and get us a certificate check.
I said if you can't hold your promise, I won't buy it.
They say fine, just tells everyone you know how fabulous we are.
After the purchase, I asked why they won't take it at beginning.
They told me that because they need to pay $120 fees for that.
I think....I don't know what to think, well, it is a business, OK, OK, I understand.
Happy ending? I got the car. Not really.
Now finally the time I can get my Keys! Keys! Key......
Opps, only one key.
Sales say, why there is only one key.
I was like....how the hell I suppose to know.
And sales just looks like this never happend. He installed the plate on the back, and hand over the only key to me. "Enjoy your new car!"
..........
..........
I have to say, I really pissed off at that time. I bought a $30000 vehicle, a CPO vehicle, and you just got one key for me, and you pretend nothing happend???
I know a key may cause $300 box or so, I can afford that. But should I?
I said to him, this is not over. And I write it down for him "Only one key, not solved issue."
So today, I wrote a email to him in the morning. Explain why I so messed about the Key. First it is not safe for me. Second two key sets should be normal, for a certified vehicle, which you marked it for, I think I should get two key sets. There is no reason I spend extra money for it.
So I hope they could get a key for me. That is all I ask.
Guess what they respond.
They want to cancel the deal.....
Fine...Fine...what a waste of time....
I have to say, I really pretty like the truck.
But I really don't like the dealer.
I may be emotion now, so please, dear truck lovers, what do you think I should do about it.
Should I keep the truck, and get a key myself?
Or should I just get my money back and spend it on other shop? (Though, based on my experience, it is really hard to find a honest dealer these days.)
Oh, and thanks for read this boring stuff.
Thank you!

I would take it back , they lied to you about the credit card and if there not willing to get you a second key as part of the deal I say they can keep the truck , did you already purchase the truck? and drive it off the lot?
Yes I did. I already make the payment(I really really should check with the keys before I give away my money. lesson learned.) I just write that "only one key" problem on paper in front of them before I drive it off the lot. I have the worry that they may do worse if I don't do so.
God I really like the truck

After all, Ford is very popular, and I didn't by any extension warrant from them. Easy to find a place to do service, and I could done some of them myself.
Still, may be back out is a good idea.
I guess....while....as long as greedy and guile still part of human, there are no safe place to go. Sadly reality isn't it?

Go and have a key made. Enjoy the new truck you really like, chalk it up and move on. Dont let the small things drag you down. We had three keys and two fobs made for daughters new explorer $100. That's just not enough to return it and all the bla bla that would go with it.

Call their bluff. They are not going to forfeit a sale over a 2nd set of car keys.
