Default Which ratio do I have

I bought a 2007 F150 STX 4 wheel drive with factory towing and 4.6 engine. I see info on here about different ratios. How do I find out what I have?

Are you talking rear differential? If so on the door sticker it will have a sticker with something like this

The axle number will give you the rear differential ratio. If you are talking tires it's printed on the side of the tire.

(Edit:stole that from another post about axle ratios.)

Plug your VIN# into this link, https://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do

The online sites where you plug in the VIN are spotty as to reliability. I'd not trust what they tell you. I tried several when shopping for a used truck and most were accurate on about 75% of the info. Even after buying the 2014 I currently drive much of the listed info is wrong.

Use the code on the door, then google Ford Axle codes for reference.

That site I posted is from FORD. If you have a better site to "plug in the Vin" for information than the people that made the truck, by all means share.

Otherwise your post is completely useless and a waste of bandwidth

While your Ford site may be reliable, others are not. Who are you to decide the relevancy of any post on this site?

Who are you to question anything anyone does on this site?
