Seeing if this is a common issue:

I'm driving down the road, adjust the volume on the radio, and about two miles later it reacts, the circular volume display pops up on the screen, and the volume changes. I change the radio station, and about two miles later it reacts. When I start the truck, it does not connect to my phone, after a few minutes of pushing buttons, waiting for next screen, I can finally force a connect. Then two miles later, the display says connect phone.

There is no difference in touchscreen input, versus steering wheel, or station presets.

 

You'll need to drop it off at the dealer. My dad had the exact same problem on his 2016. They changed out some computer module and it's working correctly now.
