Default radio

got a 2004 f-150,radio started displaying phone on it,and radio will not work unless lights are on,does anyone know what the problem is,could it be a censor?

The phone display is probably just an option from the radio, just push a bunch of buttons until it goes away, I would think.

**Aftermarket, right? Should've asked that at first...

Sounds to me like you managed to wire up wrong with the lights on, I'd just pull it and check through. If it were a sensor, it seems to me like something else would going weird too, but I'm not too electrically inclined when it comes to wires and the like.

its a factory radio justed started the other day,try pushing all buttons still will not do anything,but radio will work when lights are on

What'll it do if you unhook your battery then hook her back up? It should clear the radio's memory.
