No special tools needed.
All you have to do is (carefully) pry off of the trim around the radio and climate controls. Mine is woodgrain but yours may be black or silver as well. I would not use a screwdriver if you can help it. I would go to Wally world or Autozone and invest the $5 in a trim removal tool. It kinda looks like a plastic pry bar. Anyway, start from the top of this trim since those clips up there are the hardest. Once you have that off, its just a matter of removing the 4 bolts that hold the radio in place.
