Quick start issue on 2018
I don't have anything to add, however there is confusion (to me).
You state in post #1 that once you reenter the vehicle, the motor will not turn over. Is that true. I question because you say "it won't start".
If it won't turn over it obviously won't start so wondering if you are interchanging words to mean the same thing.
A no crank is not the same as a no start condition.
I could think some sort of evap system fault if it won't start, but if it will not crank, seems there would be something isn't receiving the message to engage the ignition as you are considering.
The suggestion above to switch keys may be a good one too. If you have been using the same key for a while and you didn't accidentally do any programming, the key shouldn't be a problem.

I apologize. I was using the terms interchangeably. The situation is a zero crank. Never even tries to engage or spin the starter. I will try swapping keys with my wife and see how that goes.
