I'm up in Minneapolis (so not exactly hill country), and haven't been South or West to the flat lands lately. Soooo wide open. Big sky.

OP: Is that a city off in the distance (behind the windmill)?

Behind the windmill is a shelterbelt (trees lol). There's a small farm place there, maybe 2 or 3 buildings. Nearest town is 4 miles, has 8 people. 17 miles gets up to 700 people. 65 to get to a Wal-Mart (15000 people)

Nothing wrong with rural America my good man. It's folks like you and thanks to the wisdom of the Founders that we have managed to keep certain other areas somewhat in check.

Sounds like Wal-Mart could be a day trip. :-)

Cool pic. Reminds me of the Texas panhandle, miles and miles of nothing, except for giant wind farms.

Too bad the windmill isn't operational.
