Unfortunately I have a 2008, so this will not apply I am guessing?

So to my understanding I need a PVC pipe, a rubber coupling thing to connect it, and some ties? I can't remember off top of my head. Might try this out this weekend weather permitting

I did mine with a piece of black pvc pipe from home depot (2 foot section was the smallest i could buy but i had them cut it down to the appropriate length to match the original piece's length) $7.00, and a 3" hose clamp $1.00. i took the pipe down with my dremmel so that it fit in the hole in the fender snuggly. I actually had to use a hammer to get it in but that way it doesn't rattle at all. then slipped the stock intake part that comes from the air filter housing over the piece of pipe and tightened it down with the hose clamp. the rubber coupling is not needed.
Edit: my truck is a 2005
