Question of curiosity?!?
I bought my 07 STX 4x4 new, had 6 miles on it when i took it home. At 6,000 miles the Driver Rear spring had to be replaced, and then at 11,000 miles i had to take it back and have the other side replaced (why they didn't do it all at once i fail to understand) has anyone else had this issue, or am i the lucky one who got deffective springs?!?
It is possible they either didn’t check the other side, it didn’t need to be replaces yet, or they forgot? Insert theory here ---> <_________>
It could be any number of reason, but I will say I have owned a couple of trucks and I have never had either of my springs replaced when the truck had less than 11,000 miles on it. You could just be the lucky one

They probably didnt replace the other side because, yes it would have made sense as far as the potential for a return trip for the customer is concerned- but if they replaced the spring under warranty, they have to send the part back to Ford to provide proof of the need for the repair and subsequently Ford will pay the dealership for performing that repair. If they just went ahead and replaced both sides arbitrarily and one side was not defective at time of repair, then Ford will not pay for that part of the warranty claim and the dealership would be stuck eating the cost for the part they put on your truck as well as the time they paid the technician to do the job.
