Question about pricing, plans, etc
Hello all,
New to the board. Former 150 owner, but currently have a super duty. I am now looking to downsize and want to go back to a 150. I stopped by a dealer today and found one listing for 41K before t, t, fees, etc.
My question is this, I have been reading around here and hear about X and A plans. I know you have to be an employee of Ford for A plan, but what exactly is X plan? And, how does one qualify?
I know Ford has around $4500 in rebates (if you finance thru them) right now. What should I expect to bet this truck down to?
It is an 2010 fx4 150 4x4, pretty much loaded.
Thanks in advance, looking forward to coming back to the fold, lol.

Thank you very much for turning us on to the X Plan discounting!

Here is the information I was able to find out.
The Ford employee "A" plan no longer exists.
X plan pricing is for people who work, or have retired from companies that do business with Ford Motor Company, as well as Stock holders in Ford Motor Company. This is very interesting today 1/19/2010 Ford shares traded for $17.90. Once you have purchased Ford stock, simply contact Ford Shareholder Services ( http://corporate.ford.com/investors/investor-overview ) and request a copy of the PIN Request Form. Follow the instructions, and voila, you will have an X-Plan PIN. Each X-Plan pin is good for one vehicle purchase. As near as I can tell there is no minimum number of shares to purchase. Go to the site below and type in NDUNV for the partner code this will get you in so you can see the X-Plan discounts.

The calculation for X-plan is:
Dealer Invoice - 0.4% of Invoice + $275 Administration Fee
So it would be less than $275 over invoice. Perhaps you can haggle and get better, but perhaps not. Any rebates would be subtracted AFTER tax, title, license is calculated.
To get X-Plan you can check to see if the company you work for has an agreement with Ford (many do). Or you can go to the Blue Oval forums and ask a Ford employee for PIN (see website below). Or you can hold Ford stock for a period of time (1 year?)
http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums...-pin-requests/
Note that Costco also has a pricing option for Ford, so check that too:
http://www.costcoauto.com
(Canada has its own Costco website, but I don't know if you are in Canada.)
Good luck...
