Default Question about LED light wiring

I have a 2014 FX4 w/ a V8 ... which means I can either have the large "hole" in my bumper between the "pads" ... fill it in with the ecoboost grille thing, or put my license plate holder back on and fill the little gaps with some CREE LED lights on either side.

I plan on putting my license plate holder back on with just a flat black plate ... and putting the small square fog light style LED's on either side of that, within the bumper (and using the little metal tabs behind there to mount the lights to.

I'm looking to install these:
Amazon.com: 2x 4" 18W 6 CREE LED SUV Off-road Boat Headlight Spot Driving Fog Light + Mounting Bracket: Automotive Amazon.com: 2x 4" 18W 6 CREE LED SUV Off-road Boat Headlight Spot Driving Fog Light + Mounting Bracket: Automotive

And use one of these rocker switches:
Amazon.com: Rocker Switch Off-Road Lights Symbol - Horizontal - White LED: Automotive Amazon.com: Rocker Switch Off-Road Lights Symbol - Horizontal - White LED: Automotive

So ... my question is, since the lights only come with about 12" of wire coming off them, what else do I need to properly install these? I know I need wire to run from the lights to the switch, but I have no idea what gauge wire to use. I also don't know how much (length) I will need, or what "connectors" I will need to get it all wired up properly. I also want/need to know where I should draw the power from, and HOW to wire them in.

I'm perfectly fine w/ the most simple installation, being that it's just tied to the on/off of the rocker. However, if it's not too hard, it would be cool to wire them in where they are tied into the existing lighting functions and come on when the fogs come on.

Can anyone give me the low-down on this? Thanks in advance!

Simply use a relay to power them directly off the battery, tap into existing fog wire that's hot when on as the relay trigger wire. 14-16g wire will handle it as led's pull minimum current. You could probably get away with splicing directly into the fog wires but it would be safer to use a relay just incase.

Connectors, anything but scotchloc, those suckers will give you grief. I like to solder and use heat shrink tubing.

Going that route will require minimal extra wire say maybe a 10' roll.

If any of that confused you in any way, find someone to install them for you.
