I have a 2005 Lariat 4x4 f-150 and have noticed that when I run the truck cold or disengage the four wheel drive that I can hear a winding noise which appears to be in the engine or dash. The noise only last temporarily but seems to be matched wit my speed, i.e. the faster i go the quicker the winding the slower my speed the slower the winding. Any ideas about what this could be? thanks.
