Problems with remote start and A/C
Truck is a 2020 F150 XLT/Lariat
If I remote start using my cell phone or the keychain, I have to put the key in the ignition when I step into the car. As soon as I do that, the A/C shuts off and stays off, even though the engine is running and the A/C control is all the way up.
Anybody else experience this? It's like there's some kind of programming glitch between the remote start and A/C control.
When I dont use remote start and just put the key in like normal, the A/C works fine

The heating/cooling system is separately controlled between remote start or ignition on.
If you last had A/C off when you shut the truck off, it will be off again when you put the key in.
The dash menus will allow you to set the remote start controls for HVAC to be automatic or what he last value was.
It sounds to me like the A/C was shut off when you shut the ignition off last time. If yes, the remote start system is working as it should.
If you left the vehicle with A/C on, and it does not return to 'on' when you restart, then yes something is broken.
A better explanation of what I'm trying to say is located in your owners manual.
