Problems with the new one
2013,f150,2wd,8ft bed,3.7 liter,6 speed auto with hill start assist,base work truck,bought new,one driver,me.
A bit about me,my father is a decorated ford salesman for 26 years for a large ford store,I was a mechanic for 25 years,I have moved on to a new career in the 14th year of that.This is my second new truck in 5 years,had an 08 same truck,worked it well not a moments trouble,my wife drives and edge,my mother drives a focus.
now to the truck,11,000 miles today,at 3 thousand miles I got under to change the oil and noticed the front pump seal appeared to be leaking on the trani,I took it to my ford store,they put some dye in the the motor and trani to see where it was coming from,personnally I was like really?red fluid from front of trani,front seal is leaking or front pump to case is,by the way no dipstick?So I said I'll run it and see how it goes,now its dry,hmm,so it fixed itself or its low.
When I took it in for the trani I also told them about a loud clank in the rear end,forward or backward,they said they couldnt recreate it,really I can recreate it all day long just driving it,even my daughter her it,she is like "god dad"and I'm like yeah tough to recreate that huh?
So moving forward,now the driveability of this truck is terrible,the trani hunts gears in normal 55 mph driving like its under powered,sometimes it will stay in 6th under load and lug,other times it will go to an inapropriate range like 4th,I have tried to deal with it by adjusting throttle pressure,to no avail,in traffic,say there is a vehicle turning and I have to slow from 55 to 30 just a coast down when the pedal is reapplied it will sometimes shift down way to low,one time it ran the tach up to 5 grand,I'm like omg this things a mess.
Most recently on normal acceleration at the 3,4 shift i'm getting a heavy body shutter like a servo is activating the wrong band or the hill start assist is kicking in.The gas milage is absolutely horrible,pretty disappointed with this one,here is the funny part,this is my 4th vehicle out of the same store in 6 years,when I was signing the papers in the managers office for this truck,he was trying to sell me everything under the sun no,no and no,on the last no he said,"don't want to spend any money huh?"I almost blew,almost,I think back now I should have introduced him to my insulted twin,and told him to stick his truck where it should have been stuck,but its my local store and I didn't,I try my best to be a gentleman in all my endeavors,so beat up and disappointed in Blossvale new york.

This stupid comment should have sent you running for the door.
Obviously there is a problem with the trans. The dealer should not be arguing about it & fix the problem under warranty. Good luck.
