any body know why the brake lights dont turn off after you turn off the truck?

Might be a bad fuse. Have you tried checking the fuses?

Usually a bad fuse means no lights. It could be a bad brake-light switch, located on the brake peddle at the top, or, if you have the trailer brake-controller, a problem there (the factory brake controller, when used manually, will light up the brake lights).

What year/model do you have?

Any brake controller?
