Powerboost leveling issues
You're not even wrong. I guess you've never seen SCORE/CORR/LOORRS/WSORR or the Carolina squat. Just because something CAN BE DONE with a truck doesn't mean it's what the truck is supposed to do, or that a truck is necessary to do it. Even if MANY people do it (like squatting). This is not mission impossible. We're not yet to the point of replacing a $200 shock costing $2500.
I attempted to level my 2021 F150 powerboost but my mechanic said that there is an air conditioning line and the high voltage lines that run right over the passenger side coilover. Very labor intensive and costly. Has any powerboost owners experienced this issue? Thanks for your feed back.
So you attempted to install a level as well as your mechanic? Or you attempted to get your mechanic to install a level? What kind of leveling kit is it?
Yes, those 3 nuts are now harder to get to, if your mechanic is stating somehow this extra 2 minutes of work (using an open ended wrench and possibly using a magnet to grab the nut) is going to be costly and labor intensive then i would find a new mechanic.
Lots of people with powerboosts have leveled: https://www.f150forum.com/search.php?searchid=20677453
I get what you are saying but my mechanic didn't say he wouldn't do it... it would just cost me more labor. They are a very reputable shop. They take good care of me. Even in a pinch and that is hard to find these days.
Did mine Sunday it is a pain I removed the battery battery box and the big electronic piece behind it for room. There is a bracket on top the strut tower made of plastic I think. You can pry it up and get a 3/8 ratchet and standard socket in there to take off the one under all of that stuff. Once the spacer is on and the top of the strut is not sticking through the tower you can put that nut back on by hand. Probably didn’t need to remove the battery and tray after I figured that out.
