Default Possible Transmission Issue

I bought a 2017 Ford F150 last August and since have found it hard to trust its reliability. I came from a couple Dodge, so that might be the first issue.

First things first, my first oil change i have noticed some leakage of oil around the oil pan. Not sure of where its coming from, however, have not seen any loss of oil at oil changes. Second issue i had was about 6 months after purchase, there was a grinding sound on right turns for about 7 rights turna before it went away. I took it in and they found nothing wrong with the steering components. At the same time i was complaining about the truck hard shifting between 4ty and 5th. They flashed the pcm and reset the transmission shift points. It fixed the issue for the hard ****.

But, twice now (once before transmission flash and once after) i will take off from park position at a normal rate. Not punching it, and something happens. It feela like i hit something really really hard. The truck almost stops and shutters hard while it dies down. Almost as though the transmission is binding. Its so hard that both times ive got out in the middle of the road to see if i find a human body underneath the truck. But i find nothing, no leaking, no smells, get back in and truck is almost normal operation (other than i find its super sluggish).

I do have warranty, but the dealership really doesnt want to own up to anything. If it doest do it while they test drive it. Than appearantly theres nothing wrong. Do i wait for my transmission to completely Bruce Jenner on me, hopefully before warranty runs out? Does anybody else have this issue?

Thank you

Use the search bar and stop getting out of your truck in the middle of the road and pull off to the side like a normal person

Dabinfamous - I bought a 2017 Ford F150 last August and since have found it hard to trust its reliability. I came from a couple Dodge, so that might be the first issue.

Are you sure it's a leak and not just the result of the oil change technician not cleaning-up after the oil filter removal and oil drain?

Second issue i had was about 6 months after purchase, there was a grinding sound on right turns for about 7 rights turna before it went away. I took it in and they found nothing wrong with the steering components.
Could it have been (say) road debris that had gotten lodged and then freed?

At the same time i was complaining about the truck hard shifting between 4ty and 5th. They flashed the pcm and reset the transmission shift points. It fixed the issue for the hard ****.

But, twice now (once before transmission flash and once after) i will take off from park position at a normal rate. Not punching it, and something happens. Instantaneous take-off / engagement when shifting from P(ark), N(eutral), and/or R(everse) isn't ab-normal, and if you're (say) not waiting enough for the transmission to engage, there could (?) be a stumble. Though perhaps what you're experiencing is excessive.

I do have warranty, but the dealership really doesnt want to own up to anything. If it doest do it while they test drive it. Than appearantly theres nothing wrong.
Their "doesnt want to own up to anything" diagnostics involve scanning for codes, even if it's just history and not enough to trigger a -wrench-?

Do i wait for my transmission to completely Bruce Jenner on me, hopefully before warranty runs out? Does anybody else have this issue?
Not quite sure what the Bruce Jenner reference implies, however, have you considered a 2nd option from another FoMoCo dealership?

BTW ... HINT/TIP: Put your complete vehicle information (year, model, cab, trim, engine, wheelbase, _x4 drive) in your signature -OR- provide it in your posting(s).
