Unhappy please help 2004 f-150 with added intake throwing lean code now?

i have a 2004 f-150 3v 5.4. i recently added an edge programmer and a afe stage 2 air intake. i understand that you cant run the programmer on level 3 or it will throw a lean code with the intake added, OK...... well why does it still do it with it set on stock and ive unplugged my battery like 3 different times? the company has never had this complaint before and now im stuck with this $350 intake that i cant do anything with. does anyone have any ideas please and thank you

I went with the SCT X3 w/ custom tunes because of this. I'm not sure you you can change the A/F ratio with the Edge? Maybe if you upgrade it to the Gryphon?

Try cleaning your MAF sensor with some MAF Cleaner. Maybe it was already dirty and the change in intake put it over the threshold? Its a reach, but try it

Take the hot air intake off. It's what is causing it to run lean.

Read the warning in your Edge's manual. There is a half page about it.

Can he cure this by upgrading to a Gryphon w/custom tunes???

I run a K&N FIPK on my 07 scab. The intake works great, no lean issues. I do have custom tunes on a SCT X3 for it, however.
