I'd like to know this too as my panel is starting to lift away from the tailgate. Just to the right of the tailgate handle and at the bottom under the camera. Is this an issue for these panels?

Little off topic but what is the best way to clean that aluminum panel? I feel like after washing the truck it doesn't look as clean as the regular paint.
