Plasti dip wheels and automatic car wash
I just plasti dipped (actually used Flexi dip by Rustolem) my wheels and was wondering if the brushes at an automatic car wash would peal off the coating. I put on about 8 coats so I'm hoping it's gong to be tough enough. Thanks

The one I go to just reopened with all new equipment, nice soft looking felt "brushes" and it does a great job. I don't have time to hand wash my truck as often as I'd like. Anyone who has plasti diped wheels and has gone through a auto car wash please let me know if it damaged the dip job. Thanks

My wheels are dipped with Rustoleum Peelcoat in graphite. I fear going through any automatic carwash, brushes or brushless, because of what damage it would cause. Only way to know is try it once. It doesnt cost a lot to redo a set of wheels. Its just the time involved to peel the existing and start over.

I had plastidipped the wheels on my last car, and went through car washes all the time and never had a problem. That was pd and not the rustoleum though...

I've never seen an automatic car wash that cleaned wheels well.... So I would bet that you'd be fine. However, I'm not a fan of automatic car washes plasti dip or not.
